These terms apply when you buy from, request a quote from, or use the website of BoardGameSpares, a trading name of Haddon Family Ltd. Please read them before placing an order or sending a custom print request.
About us
BoardGameSpares is a trading name of Haddon Family Ltd. We sell 3D printing filament and provide custom 3D printed pieces and related services. We currently sell and ship within the UK only.
Products, descriptions and availability
We try to keep product descriptions, photographs, prices, stock levels and delivery information accurate and up to date. Small differences may occur between product images and the item supplied, especially for filament colour, printed finish, layer lines and custom 3D printed items.
Products are subject to availability. If an item is unavailable after you order, we will contact you to offer a replacement, revised timescale or refund.
Orders and payment
When you place an order, you are making an offer to buy the products in your basket. An order is accepted when payment has been received and we confirm the order. If we cannot accept an order, we will let you know and refund any payment taken.
Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Delivery costs, where applicable, are shown during checkout before you place the order. Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available at checkout.
Custom print quotes
Custom 3D printing work is quoted individually based on the files, photographs, measurements, material, print time, finishing requirements, delivery requirements and any other relevant details you provide. A quote is not binding until we confirm it and you accept it.
Production of custom work starts only after the quote, specification and any required payment or deposit have been agreed. Once custom production has started, cancellation rights may be limited because the item is being made to your specification.
Customer-supplied files and designs
If you send us a file, design, image, drawing or model, you confirm that you have the right to use it and ask us to print from it. You remain responsible for the content, accuracy, scale, fit, safety and suitability of customer-supplied files unless we have specifically agreed otherwise in writing.
We may refuse work that we reasonably believe is unsafe, unlawful, infringing, offensive, unsuitable for 3D printing, or outside our capabilities.
Delivery
We currently deliver within the UK only. Delivery estimates are provided in good faith. In-stock items are usually dispatched as soon as practical. Custom printed items may take longer depending on complexity, print queue, finishing and approval requirements.
Unless we agree a different timescale with you, consumer orders will be delivered within 30 days. If there is a delay, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.
Cancellations, returns and refunds
For standard stocked products bought online, consumers usually have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving the goods, then another 14 days to return them. Returned stocked items should be unused, complete and in resaleable condition unless they are faulty.
Personalised, bespoke or custom-made items are usually excluded from change-of-mind cancellation rights once production has started, unless they are faulty, not as described or not made to the agreed specification.
If an item is faulty, not as described, damaged in transit or does not do what it is supposed to do, please contact us with your order details and photographs where possible. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
UKCA testing
UKCA testing is coming soon. Until testing is confirmed for a specific item, products should not be assumed to be certified for regulated uses.
Use and suitability
Unless a product listing or written quote says otherwise, 3D printed items are supplied for hobby, display, prototyping, organisational or general practical use. They should not be used for safety-critical, food-contact, medical, child-care, electrical, load-bearing or regulated applications unless we have confirmed in writing that the item is suitable for that use.
Our responsibility
Nothing in these terms removes or reduces any rights you have under UK consumer law, including your rights if goods are faulty, not as described, or services are not carried out with reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for problems caused by misuse, normal wear and tear, changes made after delivery, incorrect information supplied to us, unsuitable customer-supplied files, or use of an item for a purpose we have not agreed in writing. For business customers, responsibility for business losses is limited to the price paid for the relevant product or service, except where the law does not allow that limit.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are the terms published on the website when you place that order, unless a change is required by law or agreed with you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you may also have the benefit of mandatory local consumer protections.
